After earning his B.S. in three years through the University of the Pacific’s Accelerated Dental program, he moved to New York to attend the NYU College of Dentistry.
While at NYU, he was invited multiple times to participate in its highly-selective Global Outreach Program, providing care to patients in Kathmandu, Nepal, Machias, ME, and Plattsburgh, NY.
Following completion of dental school, Dr. Zhao furthered his training at Jacobi Medical Center in affiliation with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, treating patients with acute facial trauma and complex medical needs.
Dr. Zhao practiced for several years as a general dentist and is experienced in restorative, cosmetic, implant, and even pediatric dentistry. Eventually, he returned to NYU to pursue a post-doctoral certificate in endodontics, where he ranked top of his class in total number of treatments completed. His goal is to serve patients in a manner that conveys compassion and creates an atmosphere for people to feel seen, relaxed, and respected.
When not around teeth, Dr. Zhao enjoys tennis, hiking, and eating whatever delicious foods his wife wants to try.
